Does This Sound Like You?
-
I can't stop my racing thoughts or turn off my mind.
-
I'm anxious and restless all the time.
-
Work stresses me out, and I feel like I'm always faking it.
-
I struggle to say no, ask for help, or figure out what I need—and I feel guilty when I try.
-
I'm always the responsible one, the “good girl/nice guy,” and everyone brings their problems to me. It’s overwhelming! What about me?
-
I start tasks but rarely finish them, and sometimes I can't even get things started.
-
I want everything to be perfect and go exactly as planned.
-
I constantly doubt myself and worry about what others think.
-
I compare myself to others and feel like I’m falling behind.
Navigating life in today’s fast-paced world can be overwhelming, especially when balancing societal and cultural expectations with personal aspirations.
You may constantly battle racing thoughts, struggling to focus, and feeling restless about various aspects of your life. While striving for excellence and witnessing others' success, you're often left feeling anxious, inadequate, and behind. Even when you perform well and receive praise, you still doubt your achievements, feeling unworthy or as though there's more you should be doing.
It is incredibly challenging for you to communicate your feelings and needs to others because you are always the responsible and dependable one. You feel guilty asking for help, fearing you may burden others, and thus prefer to internalize your struggles until you reach a point of burnout.
But there's a way out. I'm here to support you in navigating these challenges, managing your anxiety and stress, ultimately finding peace and confidence, and feeling more connected to yourself and others in your life. Let's work together to rediscover your sense of self and achieve the balance and fulfillment you deserve.
It’s time to put yourself first for once!
Hi, I'm Lorraine!
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor in Vancouver, B.C.
I am a cisgender, middle-class Asian immigrant woman who first came to Canada from Hong Kong over 17 years ago.
Whether you're grappling with anxiety, imposter syndrome, people-pleasing, burnout, self-esteem issues, chronic shame, or navigating life changes, I'm here to support you on your journey toward healing and growth. I provide individual counselling for a diverse range of clients, including children of immigrants, immigrants, international students, minorities, and professionals.
As a therapist, my mission is to provide a safe, compassionate, non-judgmental, and empowering space where you can deepen your self-understanding and rediscover your inner strengths. In our sessions, my approach is relational, holistic, and collaborative. I honour your uniqueness and expertise in your life journey, working alongside you to uncover insights and develop strategies tailored to your needs.
