  • Feel so overwhelmed and out of control?

Why do I feel so anxious?

According to the American Psychological Association, Anxiety is an emotion characterized by feelings of tension, worried thoughts, and physical changes like increased blood pressure.

Anxiety is a natural human response to perceived danger. It is a great response when there is an actual danger, such as a bear coming close to us. However, it becomes a problem when the perceived threat is not dangerous. In those situations, anxiety can become too much and you might feel so out of control that it starts taking over your daily life and prevents you from enjoying life!

Some common types of anxiety or anxiety disorders include:

  • Generalized Anxiety Disorder: Constant and excessive worry about everyday activities or events.

  • Panic Disorder: Panic attacks and fear of having more panic attacks.

  • Social Anxiety: Intense fear and worry about social situations where you might feel embarrassed or judged.

  • Agoraphobia: Avoiding places or situations that might cause panic or make you feel trapped or helpless.

  • Separation Anxiety Disorder: Worrying too much about being separated from loved ones.

  • Specific Phobias: Intense fears of specific things or situations that lead to avoidance and distress.

It doesn’t have to be this way; you don’t have to go through it alone. Through therapy, I provide a safe and non-judgmental space where you can learn to manage your anxiety, feel more in control, and find your inner peace.

Anxiety does not need to control you and I want to show you how.

What do anxiety treatments look like and how I can help?

1 / Identify and Understand Anxiety

Together, we'll figure out your anxiety symptoms and patterns, and look into what's causing them.

2 / New Coping Strategies

We’ll explore new coping strategies that work for you, and I will practice with you to embody the strategies. In session, I like to incorporate coping strategies like relaxation techniques, meditation, breathing exercises, art therapy, body movement, and self-compassion practice.

3 / Reframe Negative Thoughts

We’ll also learn to shift your narrative and help you reframe and manage any negative thought patterns.

4 / Gradual Exposure

We’ll also slowly and safely face your triggers in and outside of sessions to build your confidence and reduce your anxiety.

What You'll Gain:

  • feel more confident and empowered in dealing with difficult situations

  • better relationships with others and better able to connect with people

  • feel more relaxed and calm
